HOW TO PURCHASE

Congratulations on your decision to purchase The Prisons Handbook 2011, published on the 4th July 2011.

To purchase your copy of The Prisons Handbook 2011 just click the drop down box in the left hand column and state the type of purchase - whether it is for an inmate, charity or member of the public.

You will then be taken to Romancart, our shopping cart agent where details of your purchase will be displayed. Once you are satisfied these are correct click 'Checkout' and you will be taken to the secure payment screen.

If you are buying for an inmate please read IN FULL the notice on the right - if buying for a charity ensure you put the charity's registered number in the box displayed for the purpose - we will ONLY deliver such copies to the charity's registered office.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The Prisons Handbook is a Prison Service approved publication for all prisons and young offender institutions in England and Wales, therefore you can be assured that when buying for an inmate the prison will accept it - but the inmate may need to make a formal application to have it in their possession in some establishments.

What's more, security rules are such that it MUST be sent to them direct from ourselves otherwise it will be placed in their stored property and they will not be allowed access to it until they are discharged.

Please ensure therefore that you place their details (full name, prison number and the full postal address of the prison in which they are detained), in the 'OTHER INFORMATION' field on the Checkout page.

Finally, once you have done this, DO NOT be concerned if the checkout process then shows YOUR address as the 'Oelivery Address', we know you are buying for an inmate, and the information sent to us is different to that displayed to you - once you have entered the inmate's information, we ALWAYS receive this even if it is not displayed to you - so don't worry!
